Our company would like to thank the Department of Interior, specifically Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland, for joining the effort to advance renewable energy development and help create jobs for Americans in manufacturing, installation, operations and maintenance. SilkWeb has a long history of promoting environmental conservation and seeking out ways to power our future using renewable energy sources. Our CEO and founder, Laurel Silk is an enrolled member of the Standing Rock Sioux tribe and has personally supported the fight against big oil and the Dakota Access Pipeline.
In 2013, our CEO and COO worked with industry experts in Wind Power Generation and Photovoltaics to create a series of workbooks called The Art and Science of Wind Power and The Art and Science of Photovoltaics. The goal was to help students studying for a career in the renewable power industry. Part of the series included a review-guide for the NABCEP Entry-Level exam. SilkWeb fully supports the education and training community to help promote careers in clean energy and to help train today’s workforce for the future. We look forward to hearing about the progress that the Department of Interior makes toward these efforts.
